CRIME STATISTICS
Each month the Woods Cross Police Records Division submits monthly reports to the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI). These reports, using the guidelines set forth by the Uniform Crime Reporting program, compile various crime data occurring in Woods Cross. Woods Cross uses the incident based reporting form to submit the data, but it is also transferred into the summary based reporting form. The submitted crimes are divided into two categories: Part I and Part II crimes. Part I crimes, which are divided into violent crimes and property crimes, include homicide, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, theft, vehicle theft, and arson. Part II crimes include all other non-traffic crimes.
BCI has compiled quarterly and yearly reports for all the cities and counties in the state of Utah that submit crime data.
